I saw the updates, but the anti theft programs would mean you'd either have to lock the smarty in the truck or carry it with you.

For the anti theft we just need some sort of signal for the ecm so you could leave the program on and not need to change programs every time.

I'm just glad Marco is still developing the smarty softwares

I was wondering about this. It would be good if you were going on vacation or leaving your truck in an airport parking lot or something.

me. I assumed that s/w 0 (in version 3) was still functionally the same, but if someone tried to start the vehicle without the key, then it would not crank.

Hey Mike,
No I didn't try today, I was too busy.
BTW, all you have to do is go back to the MADS website and download "softwareversion1.zip" and then install it back into the Smarty just like we did last night with version3. It is the original s/w, so setting #0 will be the no smoke setting

It's by county. Unfortunately, the county I live in tests, but only gas vehicles as of right now. Diesel emissions is coming, just can't remember when. I shouldn't have to worry, I will out Smarty the sniffer

Thanks for the update Mike
I haven't had time to do it yet, as the wife put me to work in the yard.
I will go back to the original s/w version.
Always glad to learn from someone else's "trial and errors" (speaking of which, did you find out the right part # for the speed bleeders ?)

Nope, I'll do some of my infamous research next week, headed to N.H. Friday with the family, so I've been getting the truck and atv's ready, this will give me a chance to run the fuel saver mode and impress the Mrs. Have a good weekend.
