Smarty Smoke

I've tried my Smarty on #5 , #7 , #9 and would like to have
less smoke. SW#3 has more fuel , added timing , and boost
fooling , how is this different than the CaTCHER programs? I
know there are going to be refinements to the various levels
in the future , heres my "constructive" input. I previously had
a Van Aaken V5. The Smarty has improved my idle and the
engine seems quieter.I assume that this means the Smarty has
less aggressive timing. I would like to see a little more timing added.
As for smoke control , can't the fueling be brought in at various boost
levels to keep down smoke ? 25% at 0 boost , 50% at 5 # boost and
all 100% at 8 -10 # boost.

Hmmm, that's interisting.
So does is the Smarty currently configured to give full fuel @ 0psi?
Do you think with your current set up if you had a Comp box or something like that you could overcome the timing issue you are refering to?

I'm going to be driving by Industrial Injection next wekk to give on a test drive so info is good at this point.

SW#9 for me is the easiest to control the smoke with but all of the levels have a learning curve to them. You have to relearn how to drive your truck with the Smarty so as not to smoke everyone out behind you. The only time mine smokes is in low rpm situations (mostly when leaving a stop light), you really have to roll into the throttle and let the rpm's build up above 1500 before you romp on it. The problem is if your ever not paying attention and take off like you would a stock truck then your going to leave a big black cloud behind you.

Thats what I mean , I don't want to leave a smoke screen
everytime I leave a stoplight. I try my best to roll into the
throttle to keep smoke down. I was just throwing out ideas
to Marco to see if he could adjust one of the CaTCHER programs
for less fueling at low boost.

But then it would be less fun when you do want to romp on it at the stop light (When that powerstroke is next to ya)

Smarty smoke.

I tried the Smarty loaner for awhile and had a heck of a time controlling smoke levels leaving intersections. Great driveability enhancement though. I carry 1800# on my back at all times.

I've had a Smarty since February and haven't really had trouble controlling smoke from a stop and I have DD3's. It's all about learning proper foot application. The converse being, when needed, I can fog the entire intersection.

Yall should run the injectors I'm running. Even just cruising down the highway you can see a thin whisp of smoke out the pipes like an old detroit. The smarty takes away any and all defueling. It doesn't neccesarily add a bunch of fuel down low, it just makes whatevers available down low available and not restricted.
