That's funny, i sold my Smarty in the DTR classifieds for $500 in less than one hour of posting it.
People still want them, I'm sure the Revo will be good when it's out. I'm patiently waiting for the arrival of my Adrenaline w/ Pulse to get here.

Read up on the REVO for 3rd gens to know a little about what it can do. It will let you select different timing and fueling curves more precisely.

If you guys knew how much was involved in trying to figure out the VP solution, you'd have more patience with Marco.

I understand it takes time. The thing that frustrated me was the big sales pitch when the vp Smarty was released. How we was going to be able to download updates, custom tunes and so on, this was supposed to be the next big thing. But when you ask a question about the release of updates or what we can expect when we do get an update, all we get is silence or a "how great the new update will be" answer. All i wanted to know is what could us vp guys expect from the evo software? Got nothing but silence.

Tell us what the hold up is, or we're having trouble with the software, or it might be a year from now before we get it done. Anything but silence.

It just appears they have forgotten the ones that got it started.

EXACTLY!!! it was the initial promise of updates and then being pretty much abandoned. We hear updates are comming every once and awhile... meanwhile they keep rolling out for 3rd gens but not a peep when they will be ready for us or what the updates will be. Not really what any of us were after when we bought them!

IF and when Marco gets the updates for us finshed i'm sure they will be phenominal but in the meantime we i sure have a sour taste in my mouth espcially since we all helped get the smarty train rolling.

I would be happy with just an estimate of when the updates will
be available. 2 weeks or 2 months. I just want to know so I can
plan my next "Bombs"

It seems to be general knowledge that the VP44's have reliability problems...

You can wait for the VP revo software to get more r's, or you can use a redline now and spin it to 4000-4200 but most people will say it eats your pump in short order.

It really doesn't matter who's box you use to get the r's out of the vp pump, reliability isn't going upwards...

I will say I did enjoy my Smarty when I had my vp44, and also got it sold without advertising it...

I dont think this thread is about the reliability of the vp, its about the lack of customer service and response from the people associated with smarty.
It is very frustrating being promised something and not getting it, or even an answer why.

How about some adjustability options? Quad seems to have figured it out pretty easily with all his tunes for the XZT+ and adrenaline. I realize a downloader and box are different animals but he came through on his word about offering different tunes for the boxes.

not really, just a few things sorted out like cruise control surging, and the feather pedal... normal bugs that needed to be sorted out with beta testing etc...

I think most of us would be happy with some kind of
information flow from Marco. Just to let us know how
things are proggressing and potential finish date.

I wish there was a stand alone circuit board that could eliminate the one in the vp. That would be great, It would be away from the heat and not require a bosch bench to calibrate. It could even run without the ecu, just tap the APPS. Then the operators right foot would be the govornor and de-fueler.

I know bob has checked out this thread and kept quiet! He was posting in the 3rd gen forums today. Kinda wierd that nothing is ever said.
