I am about to buy a Smarty because i have heard nothing but good things about them. At the moment the only things i have done is a DD South Bend 3600 Plate load 12 Button, Autometer Gauges Fuel Pressure, Boost, Pyro. I am wondering if my stock lifter pump will hold the fuel for the Smarty? How much horsepower does it give you on the wide open setting? Help me out guys! Thanks

 

well there really isnt a exact answer for you. look on www.madselectronics. on the facts. about it. it is a enhancer to other bombs. great with injectors. I would say 30-50 more hp ? but it will move your whole power curve earlier. especially the TQ.

 

does it smoke much with just the smarty? What about the fuel pressure will a stock lifter pump hold it? what is that 3 cylinder high idle thing please explain.

 

smarty will gain you about 60 horsepower. levels 3-9 give you the same amount of power on top the higher numbers just fuel harder on the bottom. stock lift pump SHOULD be able to keep up as long as it is in good condition

 

Does it Smoke much with only a smarty

 

It'll smoke more right of idle, but once you get your boost up a little the smoke will clear. I'm assuming you are running only stock injectors so it shouldn't smoke all that much, IMO.
