Ive got a banks performance pack on my 01. i know i know its not the best set up in the world but it came on the truck when i bought it and now i was wondering about a chip for it. I was thinking either a smarty or an edge?? Which one is better i know the smarty has more settings but its also about 200 more. Another thing is that a guy told me that with all the banks stuff on there if i go with another chip that isnt banks that ill blow the motor up??? Will someone help me out with this one i have no idea.

Oh ya i have oil in my air charge i was wondering if thats normal from the turbo leaking or not??

 

I don't know but that is one sweet looking truck....I know a bunch of guys have both and neither have negative comments. It all depends on what your wanting to do. Is the banks kit just an exhaust, bighead wastegate, and new filter? If so either box/programmer will work for you. As long as it doesn't have a box on it already you should be fine.

 

ya its just that big head and the high ram and that otto tunner. i wonder if i can take that otto tuner out and put in a smarty and if that will work

 

The Smarty will give it drivability that can'y be found anywhere else.
The Smarty can be run with a timing box. This is the nice thing about it, it is adjustable.
