skrewed by overboost code...I think
Ok so I put a new cummins map sensor in and....nothin'. I get no smoke most of the time, occasionally I get a good load but 95% of the time it is clear as a bell. My truck gets up and goes very well, butt with fueling enhancements and injectors I feel like it should woof out a cloud. I remember a past thread where BD comented that a past overboost would limit the trucks power. I have put my program in other trucks and they smoked very well but I get nothin' I am looking to get the most for my buck and am about to buy bigger injectors again if that is what it takes. I should note that I saw a very small amount of soot around the turbo/manifold gasket and am replacing that this weekend, I can hit 30-32 psi of boost up a very steep grade while towing and the highest egt I have been able to achieve is 1200 up a 9%
can anyone give me guidence? can I make the code go away? how much if I take it to the *******? oh please set me straight!!!!!!!!

if you have a contact at a dealer, get them to look at the codes. any time a trouble code is set, the ECM/PCM takes a 'snapshot' of it. All of the parameters are stored so you can see what happened. I never experienced any residual effects from several overboost codes, the CEL would clear after several good days with no codes, but they always stored in the memory. The dealers DRB can clear codes, some auto parts stores can read/clear codes. Does your Superchips unit read codes? I thought they could read and clear codes...
go down to the local autozone ask them to use there scan tool leave them your id while you run out to the truck and clear the codes . atleast thats what i do when the over boost code sets on mine .
