Our trucks do not have cats. What looks like a cat is a resonator. It's ok to remove it.

Your truck doesn't have one but seeing how his is a 12 valve, it does have a cat.

leave it stock until after it's inspected. The drone on my 6" is loud but doesnt bother me too bad over the kids in the back. I would recomend mounting it so the stack sticks up a little over the cab I hear that will help alot with the drone. I mounted the highest part of my miter cut flush with the cab just b/c I didnt want it sticking up all alone.

I have been thinking about a 7" aussie bullhauler since they just started making them that might help. I am also seriously thinking about just putting the 5" tail pipe back on.

i cant stand any type of turnout stack with only one... they look great with dual stacks... but one just looks like they forgot the other one or it fell off or something. JMO
