I just cut mine from a staright-cut to a 35* miter, I just cut the angle with my 14" chop saw with a new blade and masking tape wrapped around it. It didn't quite make it all the way through so I used a sawzall to finish the cut and then cleaned up the edges with 100grit sandpaper. Then with the tape still on there to cover up the chrome I sprayed the newly cut edge with high-heat black engine paint.

I must say I REALLY like my miter cut stack better than my staright cut before, I extended it up another 5" and it is SOO much quieter in the cab going down the highway I can actually talk to people on the phone

I did my cut with a cut off wheel on my angle grinder. Not the way i'd reccomend because it's hard to mark a perfect mitre cut without just cutting it in one slice. A large bandsaw, or large chopsaw would be the easiest. I didn't get a perfect cut and had to go back and grind some spots down to get a nice look, u can see in my pic the top is alittle out of shape, i cleaned it up since then. It did 45 degree's, but I also like the less angled cuts to, but not a big fan of flat top style..

Add me to the S.S.C (single stack club), almost done with the install. Wondering what others think--I think it needs to be cut off a little lower, so should I angle cut it again or straight cut it ? After it gets cut it is going to get HPC coated in high luster silver.

Dude where you got it is perfect IMO and the height is right-on! If you make it any lower it is going to drive you nuts in the "drone-zone" and anytime you are on the highway for an extended amount of time.
