so i was wondering, what happens with an open stack when it rains? is there a drain at the bottom, like a hole at the bottom of a p-catch, if so i guess that doesn't affect anything. cause i think most traditions stacks on ag equipment or tractors have an angle or a flapper, but the straight and miter cuts just look good!

Drill a hole on the bend in the elbow. That will allow water to drain and will help but you will still probly get some soot. Also a coffee can to cover the stack will keep rain out, but remember to take the can off before you start the truck.

No, it shouldnt hurt anything. The hole just needs to be big enough to let water out. I dont know what other guys have done, but 3/16 should be good enough.

I am thinking about putting a stack on mine, I have the stack in storage, dont have money for clamps and elbows.

what gears do you have in your differential, cause im thinking about putting a 6" mitre cut on my truck and not sure how it will be with the soot, and the drone on the highway, cause i want my stack to sit level with the cab or maybe 1 or 2" about the cab, but i know with my 6" expanded end turnout it 1" above the cab the drone was bad on the highway with 4.10's at least and in a regular cab.
