I am thinking of removing the silencer ring....does it make the turbo scream to the point of becoming annoying? Also if I remove it I guess I can always put it back in? What is the best way to remove it? Thanks.

 

Pull the boot off the turbo end and youll see the tin ring and the cir clip holding it in. Try to grab the end and gently pry it out then remove the ring. It dosent make that much of a difference really.

 

It will make a difference on your truck because you have a AFE. With a stock airbox it doesnt do much. Annoying? Not at all, yank that sucker!

 

Well it just went missing......sounds good. I can actually hear the turbo through the exhaust now. Thanks
