Whats up with the silencer ring??? I heard you could take it off, but i need help in doing this, like instructions.... Will it hurt anything if i remove it???

I'm really not trying to be a smart ___ (it just comes naturally) I really am trying to help you.

click on "Search" and type in "Silencer ring"

this technique can be applied to the entire internet. the world is at your fingertips!

 

All it does is make the turbo whine louder. Just pull the intake tube off the turbo, and you will see a snap ring on the inside wall of the turbo inlet. Pull out the snap ring and the silencer will come right out.

Yea Mine has been on vacation since I bought the truck. No performance improvement, but you can hear the turbo better with it out.... Good luck!
