I found it.....Mystery switch schematic

This is the way I wired mine...works great.

Glad you like it nospin.....I drew that quite a while ago, but the RE crowd needed to make some mods to it as I was RH with a different lock-up circuit than you RE guys (relay). Otherwise, should work flawlessly.....no more absent mindedness stalls. nyone who sais they haven't done it with a mystery switch is lying

I would, but seeing that you have an RE trans, I would think Doug would be better to outline it because he adapted my original RH drawing for an RE system. Let me know and I'll help further if possible.

Chris

p.s. If you're still waiting for the trans to go out , the lock-up switch will help that along quite nicely, depending on how you intend to use it!

Hey Chris...now I know who to thank!!

As far as a step by step write up for this, I'm not the one to do that. I followed the schematic and was still second guessing myself. Works on my 2001 perfectly.

I've got this setup in my 01 without any trouble. Wired per the schematic.

hey nospin4me,
what tranny do you have in your truck, RE or RH? the above states it will not work on a RE without altering the schematic

I'm looking over the schematic and maybe I need to have my glasses checked, but I do not see where it says RH only.

There is one thing I did have to add...a 4th relay. Between the TC lockup output wire coming from the top relay and the TC lockup wire at the PCM. IIRC it was backfeeding through and causing one of the 3 relays to chatter. So it had to be isolated with the 4th relay.

If this is what is meant by having to modify schematic for the RE, then yes, I had to modify.

nospin4me,
ok so i buy a 4th bosch 5 terminal relay, do i still have to run +12volts to terminal 85 (like the rest of the relays) - ground 87? or 30? and run terminal 86 from the TCR relay to the new relay 86 and back out witch terminal to the PCM wire? WOW i have no idea how to add the 4th relay to 3 that are already there mabe you could explain how to wire in the 4th relay thanks

A diode would solve that problem, too.

Ground 87, 12V to 85, TC lockup wire from the top relay in the schematic to 86, and 30 will go to the TC lock up wire at the PCM.

I tried a diode and where this cicuit is triggering a ground it would not work.
