the guy who hand my truck before me wired them into the switch and it gets really hot and worried i might of melted some wires cuz of it, think im going to get all the load i can off of that switch, id atleast set up a relay

 

I got them installed late last week. I'll put up some pics soon. The leds were junk 4 out of 5 didn't work out of the box. Replaced those with regular 194 bulbs. I have it wired to a key on fuse right now and we made our own harness.



Could I get some more info about how the OEM harness plugs into the back of the fuse box?. We tried wiring it into the headlight switch but it got too hot. I just need to get it to activate with my parking lights instead of running the whole time my truck is running.

 

go to the parts dept. at your local dealer and have them look up the harness! its only $60 and plugs in beside where the trailer brake harness plugs into.

 

I wonder if I can get just the plug somewhere with a pigtail and wire my own?
