What should the gagues be reading once it's warm? Boost, Trans and PYro? What are the max or warnings I should watch for in each area? Thanks

Boost should be somewhere in the 30's. Trans will depend on traffic conditions and the condition of the trans. Running on the highway I don't even see 140. Sitting in traffic I've seen 200-220. If the pyro is pre turbo, then about 600 or so crusing and some where around 900+ at WOT.

So i've seen the egt go to 1200 at wot...is that bad? Possible becasue I'm only getting 20 on the boost max. The trans hasn't gone above 110? Is there an issue here?

1200 at wot is just about right.

Don't want to go much over that for an extended period of time though.

1400-1500 for very short runs followed by a nice cool down won't hurt anything.
Short run = drag racing, 1/4 mile max.
Rumor is that the Cummins can run all day between 1250 and 1300, 1350 is right around the melting point of aluminum, which is what the pistons (or at least the tops) are made of.
Figuring in error's, you don't want to be at 1300 for very long.
You obviously are pre-turbo, as post turbo 1200 would be very bad mojo.

I think blue mis spoke and gave post turbo temps.
Mine, preturbo, sits right on 900 cruising down the freeway, and gets to 1200 pretty quick on a steep hill.

Stock wastegate is set at 19-21, so you won't see more than that, boostwise, till you block the wastegate somehow.

Tranny fluid starts to wave bye bye at 240-250, stock tranny temp idiot light comes on at 280, at which point the transmission would be better off left back on the highway.
I've seen 250 offroading, at which point I stopped and let it idle in neutral for a while.

I bet it's still winter in Colorado, so your 110 isn't unusual.
Wait till summer and get stuck in traffic, then you'll see it climb real quick.

phox, I'm running pre turbo and with my Comp in ez mode, I'm only seeing 900*, maybe 1000* on a real hard run. Stock I would see 1200* or so. I've seen these temps with two different gauges so I'm pretty confident they are right. My buddies HO shows the same thing with a comp in EZ mode. After we added the Mach 1.5's, he's sitting at 1250*. I didn't know if the predator he was running showed the same drop or not that's why I put 900*+.

Wow, guess that happens when you assume.

The timing from the comp must be lowering the EGT's pretty good.

I wasn't sure what or how the predator worked either, so I just gave stock readings.

Limits still work though, doesn't matter how much fuel you're pushing through, aluminum still melts.

Oh, much over 35psi isn't good for the stock turbo either.
Not only are you now heating the air, but you're also really close to overspinning, which will result in turbo parts getting injested by the engine and spit out the tailpipe.
