Loaded the factory file updates and the surging is greatly reduced. Still been running the Smarty on Sw2.

Woooooo, surge city!! Anything above PL2. My fuel pressure is not working but everything else is bang on. Anyone else's fuel pressure not working? The fuel pressure sensor reads 3.2 volts with key on and 0 volts with truck running, not sure what's going on? What would be the best program to change to from the factory 6PL.

put smarty back to stock and did some driving today... Surge is a bit better on light throttle, but the 18-22psi surge is still very very there for me!!! Remember this is the older 10 setting... Still dont have the new one..

My 99 Factory Manual says that the Dark Green wire is Fault Signal. Hope it helps you. Thanks Steve B.

I got mine this afternoon. Can't wait to get it going. What are you guys with gauges doing for the commander? Do you run 2 pyro thermocouples?

Where is your sensor installed. I thought mine was not working either until I did a little thinking. The sensor itself needs to be grounded. I needed to ground mine with a wire off the battery,as mine is mounted in my line to my pillar guage, where there is no ground from the motor.

My FP works ok for the most part.. I grounded it with a couple coils of copper to the frame... normally bounces back and forth between 19 and 20psi (good my mechanical shows 19.5 FASS), but sometimes it goes crazy and drops to 5 and 10 and 7 and 17 and 20 and 12 and ....... does this all very fast.. dunno mechanical stays put...

my box still doesnt work with the competition file but works great with the others. today the box stopped working for a few miles, i went into a store turned the truck off, turned it back on when i came back out and it was working fine (smoked a cop pretty bad checking it out too).

I got mine all up and running. I can't change past PL06 though... any ideas on what could be causing that?

Not much more smoke, but obviously more then I had before. Truck is a completely different animal, even on level 6. My tq converter begs for mercy! If the fuel pressure gauge is working correctly then the in-tank isn't doing all to horrible except under hard acceleration. I don't have the boost/egt/tranny temp hooked up yet.

OMG, I'm an idiot!!! I guess it's hard for the gauge to work if it's only got a positive wire and not a ground. Put a ground on the body to the battery, now it match's my Autometer gauge 100%. Too embarasing but I can handle the laughter!!!

sounds like you might have a 6 setting program loaded, there are 10 setting and 6 setting programs. same max power just more adjustability with the 10 setting. i personally like the 6 setting because if i want to go from 2 (non surge) to 6 (kill) its alot quicker
