Questions Once Again

Hello all once again. I have searched and didnt come up with a good answer. I tried hooking up the boost gauge the other day and hooked it into a port towards the back of the engine past the fuel filter. I saw this illustrated on another website. Well this was tottaly wrong on my engine! I wound up with a boost gauge full of antifreeze! I have an 02 CTD, and there is "supposedly" this magical port that I can plug into and obtain a boost reading! If someone could help me out I would appreciate it! And I just took a trip this weekend to Gatlinburg, the Edge Comp is amazing! My only regret is having an automatic tranny. It has paid the price for this newfound power. I have turned the Comp to 1x5 and am thinking about turning it off until I can get suggestions. Should I find a local trans shop to rebuild it or should I source one on the net from one of the transmission builders. Any suggestions guys?

Boost gauge:
I drilled and tapped the air intake horn on mine.

This is probably what you're looking to do.

from this site:

As for the Edge Comp being hard on a stock trans......
Disconnect the wire going to the Injection pump and it will act just like an Edge EZ limiting your power to around 60 hp until you can properly address your drivetrain issues.
I drove mine that way for 3 years.

There is a boost pressure port located between the fuel filter cannister and the MAP sensor. It is a 3/4" pipe plug that requires a square ratchet(just use your 1/2 socket wrench with extension). That's where mine is attached per the instructions I received from TST and I've had 0 problems.

Exactly where it is, Did mine this week, If a 1/2" socket fits that's the one. It's in front on the map plug.

Dont just do a tranny rebuild. Put in extra/new clutches, and seals, a better, lower stall torque converter, and valve body from a vendor, and you will be happy as a clam Cant wait to do mine!

I am thinking about drilling and tapping the intake like Shovelhead. I pulled that 1/2 plug but didnt have a fitting that would work so I thought well maybe its the one closer to the firewall since my fitting will work in it. Well I was wrong! As far as the tranny goes I am seriously going to have to do something. I am going to have to hit up the local shops I guess and see if they have tackled anything like this. I hate to order the complete transmission online but that might be my best bet.

Cummins has a bolt with fitting that replaces one of the intake plate bolts. That is where mine is. It will replace any of the bolts closer to the valve cover.

That's where they put mine as well.
