Question Questions on Injectors on a 5.9 in a box van??

My brother has a 5.9 24 Valve in a Ford box van, (205 HP) the VP/lift pump died so he put a 245 HO pump and a new lift pump on the motor and every thing is working fine (side of the road job) and he thinks it has more power. He has been thinking about bigger injectors but some of his local shops tell him that he will wash the cylinders and have to get a new motor. He was thinking of the 275 RV injectors. I think that he could step up to there with out any problems. I feel that with a set gauges and oil sampling he should be fine. Is my thoughts right or am I way off base??

Thanks for the help!!

I don't belive that he could put a chip/programer on this box van. I thnk the only options is injectors/turbo mods. he was just wanting to know if bigger injectors are going to wash his cylinders and delute the oil. He has employee drive this quite offen and they tend to not check thing as much as they should. If the EDGE Juice With Attitude would work he might go that route.

Thanks again Brent

Why couldn't he put a chip? HO's love injectors from what I've seen. The onlt thing with HO's is that the IP won't make much over 500hp. If he does do injectors wihtout a chip he won't get the full amount of power out of the injectors.

I don't belive that all the wiring is the same. His Ford Box Van is a 2001 and his connectors are diffrent than the one on my 2001 truck.

Did that engine come in the van? Injectors wouldn't washout the cylinders. It's still the same block and everything as our engines I think.

Yes it came stock in the box van (24 foot box) with a 4 speed allison tranny. as far as the motor it looks the same he has the 53 block only plumbing/wiring look diffrent. thats why I think he can only do Injectors/turbo mods. and not to much with that block. I've told him that he should sell it and get a FL60/FL70 for all that he hauls.
