Oh, I wasn't aware that it had to be on pl00 for the high idle to work properly, sorry. Quad, any news about the issue my other truck is having with the warm up mode & flashing pl00? Justin said that you were working on a fix, just figured I would ask.

Qzilla you posted in between me writing my post. Thanks though. It happened on the tune that came with the box and the new tune, I went straight to the aggresive I couldn't help myself I figured if I'm going to download a tune why not get the aggressive one on there. I have to do the downloads at our shop so I figured why try a bunch and have to keep going back and forth just get the aggressive tune with all the goodies and be done with it. So I hope I awnsered your question so you can help me. Great product QUAD. And so far great customer service.

JLent, I just made a post in the other thread about the warm up fix. I will email it to you to test for me.

csrosenberry,

Without knowing exactly which tunes are doing this it is hard for me to say but, it is possble that if the warm up mode was acting up like it has on some trucks then that could also be the high idle/tt thing????

Hard to say with the info a hand but, now that you know how it works you can at least see if it is behaving properly.

Oh doing what you said works perfectly, just leave it on any level other than off and bam just like you said. Did you catch my long post on the other page. I posted it as you posted the response. My error for sure just didn't know thats how the box thinks. FYI my warm up mode works perfect just the PL display keeps blinking but it all functions right. Any Idea what I should try for the surging. Do I need to try one of the 1000 series are those not the most refined or should the 2000 be just as good by now. Can't thank you enough for working with me on this Quad.

With a little more seat time with the box i do notice surging with light throttle in overdrive. The roughest spot is right around 1800 rpms but it does surge annoyingly with light throttle in all power levels above 2

Well still have continous flashing of the module but the warm up feature functions correct. Still have to go to PL00 then back up to desired setting to get full fueling but not everytime. And don't know what to do about the surging should I try a 1000 series or what? Everything like the HI & TT work. I like how the high idle knows to work when the temp is below the warm up temp of 140 regardless of PL setting and when it gets to that temp it knows to drop back to a regular idle, the funtions are SWEET! Man got to love this box it is so capable, all my problems are just refinements, when its all said and done nothing will come close to this thing.

My truck has always went into high idle on any level. I guess I missed it the first time when you guys talked about it. I'm like Beavis & Butthead here, I just read the posts & say "POWER, POWER".

That's what I want is for it to go into high idle on any level?? I wonder if Quad can make that happen or if the Commander can do that? Kinda a pain in the butt to have to switch it back to PL00 everytime. Sometimes I forget and come out to a regular idiling truck.

I leave my truck on any PL & when in warmup mode, the PL00 flashes & it hits high idle. I'll drive down the road & all of a sudden the power kicks in & it takes off. It could be the Smarty high idle taking over though, it has been really cold in PA.

Well I loaded the Comp beta tune into my Adrenaline. This is the first tune I have tried. I had also just got done installing a Blue Chips cover on my VP-44 for the wire tap. I also had the fuel system open for the installation of the new fuel pressure sending unit for the Adrenaline. The truck was slightly hard starting because of the air in the fuel and when it started it took off in an overspeed. I immediately shut if down. Not sure how high the RPM went. I remembered that I had not plugged in the APPS sensor connector. It suprises me that these trucks will go into overspeed if that connector is not in. Seems too easy to do. Is it because of the module that it acts this way? Anyway the truck is fine and am enjoying the Adrenaline. Need to get a new tune loaded up though.
