I always recommend NOT cutting your trans lines. I know guys have had them that way for years with no problems and I have had to help load a dead truck on a trailer that lost all it's fluid out of the same connectors.

We use a simple pick up in the shop for our installs. It simple straps to the line and allows for the sensor to be mounted. Slightly slower response time, but never a fried transmission.

Sorry should have clarified. I want to use the test port on the P. side. I was going to order a new line, but I need it done by tomorrow.

I see!

Your choice of location is not ideal. It'll be fine for temporary use, but you really should try to get temps from the hot line if possible. JMO

Which line is the hot line? I was planning on moving my sensor from the accumulator test port to the hot line by removing the line and adding in a "T" so everything is connected by threads.

Its the on that runs from the cooler on the motor to the front of the tranny on the D. side.
