i went to install my blue chip pump cover on my truck today. i'm not sure if it will work. my truck has had the VP-44 changed under warranty. here's what i found. i was under the impression that when u installed the cover, that it actually pierced the wire inside the pump. there was no wire visible. from the looks of it, the allen screw looks like it is just going to pierce the pump ecm housing. there is a small dimple in the ecm where it looks like the allen screw will "seat". or does it just pierce into the ecm housing? or did they change these reman pumps so you can't tap them internally? i've not done this before, so i'm not sure. what's ur guys thoughts. if i get these pics to work, look above the top right brass colored screw. the dimple above that screw looks like that is where the allen screw is going to hit. is this correct or am i "screwwed"???

yeah bob, it's a blue chip as stated in my post. i have directions. it just doesn't seem right to me for some reason. i'm still workin on a pic.

It goes through the plastic and pierces the computer board itself.

yup, follow the instructions, if you go to far it Will break the circuit board
