price to install a DD clutch on a 6spd truck
anyone have the rough labor costs to have a tranny shop or diesel specialist install a south bend double disk in a 6spd truck
i know the clutch will run me about $1750 but i need to know what its gonna cost to have it installed...ive done it once and i dont wanna do it again

ok...i know shop rates vary, but i need to see just how much cake I'm gonna need to throw down for a proper install
but is this gonna be where i pay a few hundred bucks say...7 hours x $50/hr...or is this a deal where its gonna cost me over $1,000 because its not an easy job to pull that huge tranny?

Anywhere from $350-450 should be about right. The actual clutch install is not anymore complicated than a standard clutch. I don't charge anymore to install a DD vs a single SBC.

Carrigan Motors, a dodge dealership in Morgan, Utah, charged me $250 and took less than 2 hours each time they've changed out my clutch. I recommend any one in northern Utah to use them.
