pre vs post egt's
Lately I have noticed that my post turbo egts are almost the same as pre. They used to run 200 degrees cooler. The only thing I did was clean my air filter. I also noticed the needle on the post side jumping around alot right after I clean it (to much oil?). then it settled down but seems alot higher than before. Pre turbo temps are in check. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

You might have a failing pyro. Typically if they get jumpy, the guage is getting bad. My autometer failed and would just randomly jump to 600 and stay there.
They upgraded me to a better pyro for free-- good service from Autometer.

BTW-- pre-turbo temps should run a lot more than 200º hotter than post-turbo temps, except at the lightest loads. When towing and hitting it hard, the difference can exceed 400-500 degrees!
