Alright guys need some help today drivin to work my truck would not shift into 3rd gear until I let off throttle then the rest of the drive it didn't seem like uit shifted with any pressure so I have been told its the governor press solinoid does this sound rite bc I am about to get a tq converter and vb from power by poole and the solanoid is supplied anyone dealt with him?? Any help is appreciated thanks Ben

I had the exact symptoms on my truck you did. They said it was the solenoids. They replaced them, well it turned out the second gear clutches were shot. I hope this is not the case for you

 

so after spending several hrs on the phone with my mechanic and ollie i believe it is the solanoids bc it is random tonite i drove it about 15miles and it ran awesome but earlier it had issues shifting 1-2 and 2-3 plus some weird surging thing but all fingers point to the governer press solanoid so tc and vb with that will be put in monday then i guess time for injectors if this works thanks guys
