Power to be expected.....

What is the power like on a stock 6spd, HO. Do you guys have solid boost and acceleration on the highway from 1800 to 2400 rpms. Are they somewhat sluggish. What kinda speeds can you hit and how quick. I don't know whether something is wrong with mine or if it is just me. I just had the lift pump replaced. I know it was running crappy before then but I think I am supposed to have more get up and go on the top end.

How do I know if the map sensor is gone? All the mods are about to start. 1st gaugues, then the Edge EZ, I already have exhaust, a new free flow filter, etc. I just think it should have more stock. I feels too rough on acceleration, not as smooth as I remember.

try the key on 3 times thing see if you have any codesthat pertain to the map sensor.do you use an additive inyour fuel?mine seems to idle smoother when i started using an aditive, also you could try resetting the apps,do a search here for the procedure,it has helped some people, also remove and clean your iat sensor,do another search for where its located, somtimes those help.when was the the last fuel filter change?check your fuel presure.if you have less than 6 wot you may have other problems.hope this helps

Fuel filter was just changed. I need to get gauges in but the guys at 4wheelparts want $950 to put the boost, pyro, and fuel in, and that doesn't even include them hooking up the fuel b/c they said it is a liability.

$950!!!
Look for some local known diesel friendly shops, install isn't too tough if you're mechanically inclined. Someone on here oughta know someone to call near you.
Is this truck a recent purchase for you? How many miles are on it? If you don't know the history, get to a dealer to check the COMPLETE list of codes, many don't show up on the odometer.

They would have to hold a gun to my head before I paid those guys $950 for a gauge install.

Lol that what I thought when he quoted me that price. I need to buy the gauges and get them in soon. TexasTurbo you have an email. What are these codes you guys are talking about? Also I just had my lift pump replaced by the dealer and that thing is getting horrible fuel mileage. Yes this truck is "new" to me. It has 59k miles on it and I have had it for 1000 miles.
