Perception or reality

I have the D25 2 inch coils with the Skyjacker upper and lower links. Is it my imagination, or is the front axle no longer centered in the wheel wells? It truly appears to be aft of centerline. If this is so, is there a correcting link kit to move the axle forward so in a lock turn, my tires don't rub the mud flaps?
Thanks

My '95 360 with a Skyjacker did that...

Skyjacker sucks.

the more you raise it, the more the wheel will move back. the control arms' radius is what brings it back. in other words, with the arms pivoting at the frame and connected to the axle, the axle will begin to swing down and back when raising the front...which is why some of the larger lift kits have a 'long arms' option,

It's that nature of the beast. When you lift, the axle rotates down and to the rear of the truck.

Longer arms are only wise if the frame mounting point is moved aft, like the Dick Cepek 6" kit.

Otherwise, stick with stock length or close to it.

You will. The longer springs that lift the front end will rotate the axle to the back about an inch.

No big deal-- see my profile pics.

I'll take a look. I have the 2" spacers now, but want to replace them with the D25's. Did you get longer control arms?

Nope, stock arms.

Longer isn't needed, and would screw up the OEM geometry (bump stops, etc).

If the D25's move the axle 1 inch to the rear, and if you got 1" longer arms, wouldn't it move the axle 1" to the front (approximately) where they should be?

Your axle is constantly moving when you're driving. Suspensions are designed to move. Making suspension adjustments based primarily on how a truck looks motionless is unwise.

I don't think anything will change except the ride will be stiffer with the SJ coils. Since you already have the blocks you already pulled the axle back and the 1/2 taller the springs are wont mean much.

The ride will be stiffer? ok. I was thinking of getting dual shock mounts with 4 5100's in front. Will that be too stiff do you think? I will have a Road Armor bumper on the front, and a 12,000# winch up there this yr.

I really cant say as I haven't added any extra weight to the front of my truck other than the front hitch but I did notice the springs to be stiffer. I don't know that the 4 shocks would be necessary becase the 5100s are the most capable shock I ever ran?
