new lift pump 1 year ago (i only changed it as prevenative maintenance nothing was wrong with it)

changed fuel filter last night, lift pump filled canister (i didnt) in 2 cycles

if i floor it i get a very small puff for about 1 sec (black smoke) then nothing

Buddy says its not getting enough fuel (same buddy that is changing his vp for the 3rd time (this time the rebuilder told him he had too much fuel pressure)
