No bottom end power

Hello, I just got done putting 3000rpm gov. springs in my 95. The problem is it has no bottom end anymore till about 2grand then it takes off. Right now the truck has a #4plate, an intake , 4inch exhaust and some timing tweaks. The truck would smoke the 38 inch tires till 4th gear before the change. Now I can build boost and its like has nothing till 2grand then it takes off like crazy. I am thinking that I did not put the fuel plate back on right or something. The egts are good and it peaks out about 32lbs of boost. Also on the freeway , in o.d. I could mash the pedal and the truck would take off, but now if below 2g it barely accelerates and builds little boost, no more than 12lbs until the rmp climbs.

Any thoughts?

Re:No bottom end power

Either the plate is in crooked or the gov. lever need to be adjusted.
If you lost boost in the process of installing the gov. springs it's prob. the lever.

How's your starwheel adjustment? I put some 3K springs in a couple of weeks ago and didn't get much power until about the 2k rpm point, either. I opened up my starwheel a little and got a lot more low-end power. FWIW.

Re:No bottom end power

Jambbii You Gov arm needs adjusting, what is happening is the arm is actually under the nose of the plate and stays there till it finally has enough force to pull it out so it can ride the plate fuel curve.

Here are the instructions http://www.piersdiesel.com/LeverAdj.htm
