Well I would start looking for a fuel system (walbro, Holley, FASS, etc.)

You definitely need to solve the fuel problem, then maybe a smarty.

IMO,

Best option: Helix 2 cam and 12 valve lift pump.

Better option: Glacier Walbro or Fass

Good option: Pusher from BD, Bulldog or build your own with a relay and Holly Blue.

The "Good option" will cost you in the neighborhood of $120 for the make your own to $225 for the BD or Bullydog. The "Better option" $6-800 maybe a little less, not exactly sure. The Best will cost you 2 to 3 hunded more than the Better option.

The "Best option" is a fix it and forget about it with the 12 valve lift pump. Plus you get the benefit of a more air flow through you head and more low end torque. It's a few more $, but it will be the last time you have to think about it.
