New pump, scared to tap

I just had to borrow some money to replace my ip. If somehthing happens to my pump I will not be able to afford to replace again, this is the second pump within a year. The last one got from tst and got about 12K out of it and it died but my warranty was viod due to the wire being tapped. I bought this from schied desiel and I figured that even if I used the steath cover they would catch it. Im scared to tap it but really want the power. What should I do?

get a second job. then wait till you have some spare $$, then tap away. or tap it, burn it down again and be sad that you have to sell your ride for dirt cause it does not run. seems easy enough to me.

Buyin injectors won't make up for the IP. If it goes out then no fuel to the IP. why don't you buy a fass system and make sure that you don't starve the IP and you probably won't have to worry about it. I would buy it before you tap again.

I meant that he should run his edge comp in EZ mode (no tap) and buy injectors to make up for the power not gained from the pump tap.

You bought the pump from the wrong place. The one I bought had a warranty even if tapped. Just had to tell them first so they could do some special magic. Warranty either way, that said it will probably crater 1 mile or 1 minute out of warranty.

You need to give your source please. Inquiring minds want to compare prices.

Thanks

Yea we just dab the same color paint over the bolts when the cover goes back on.

So have any of you had your pump warrantied using the cover? Has anyone been denied and been caught taking the cover off?

Yeah this sounds like a good idea, but I heard that they will also look at the circuit board under the cover to see if it has a small hole in it from the spike on the stealth cover. I don't know if it was Bosch, or the pump builder who had discovered this.

I think it was Blue Chip, who would warranty the pumps, but only if you used their stealth cover, again I'm not 100% sure.
