Hey guys,

Just picked up a 95 2500 Club Cab LWB 4x4 with the 12 valve, and am desperately looking to get some decent power out of it. I know about the fuel plates, GSK, Starwheel, and blocking the wastegate, but in what order should I do them, and I figure I'll get gauges. I figure a manual boost controller, 3K GSK, and #10 Plate...later exhaust, intake, maybe injectors, and who knows... Will this kill my trans? I have 35" BFG A/T KO's, they pull great, but I'm sure put more stress on everything. Also, do I have to pull the injector pump to change the plate? Let me know what you guys think, I'll try and get some pics up shortly, its a great looking truck, fenderflares, nerf bars, Leer Cap, A/R Wheels, and 4 off-road lights on a custom aluminum light mount. Thanks fellas'.

No need to pull the pump to turn it up, or install the plate; http://www.cumminsdatabase.com/read.php?id=58
Yes it'll be hard on the trans. Light footing, and a shift kit will help it live for a while, but assuming it's got over 100k, you really need a performance overhaul, with valve body and torque converter.
GAUGES FIRST!!!!!!!!! You really need to watch the egt's when you start turning up the fuel.

Yea, the KDP has been done...it was done at 55K miles thank god...The truck now just rolled over 227K, but the trans was rebuilt at about 195K miles. So it looks like I'll need a shift kit and possibly a billet TQ Converter, but I'll blow up the one I have before I go buying new ones, it half the fun.

light footin it doesn't always help the tranny especially if you pull loads. I have the tee shirt on that. What kind of Hp are you looking to get to? If you tear up the tranny the rebuild gets more costly. What you have now is probably good to around 245 or so Hp. After that get the that trans done.
I have the same truck you do. I now have the trans done, gauges, 4" exhst' 3000rpm gov springs, 215 injectors, 181 del valves and 10 plate. I just ordered a SPS 62/12 phat shaft and then I'm getting DDP 4 injectors. My trans was done at piers. All billits and race ready.

get gauges then grind a 100 plate and slide it and the afc housing foward for starters and make sure to get a free flowing exhaust either straight pipe or free flowing muffler

Well I cranked the starwheel last night, nice little boost in power from that. How do you guys pull the AFC Housing with the fuel lines in the way (from the pump to the block)? There's also a wiring harness in the way, not a big deal, just wondering if theres a trick to it. What have you guys used to gring your plates? I could do it on a Bridgeport, or if its easier I'll just do it by hand, or get it into a close shape on the ban saw, then grind it smooth. Anybody have any reasons not to pull the silencer ring on the turbo (I just ordered a BHAF from Napa), or use the washer method for the GSK. Otherwise thats wat I'll do. Thanks for the info fella's. Oh yeah, and I just got my gauges, Boost (low at 0-30 psi), Trans Temp, and EGT's...all with sending units and a 3 place pillar pod for just under $200 with a 1 year warranty. Gotta love eBay!

Well I just installed a BHAF from Napa, pulled the silencer ring, and holy **** does that sound nice. Gauges should be here within a few days, then the real Bombing begins, fuel plate, GSK, ?Transmission?, Exhaust, Timing...then ???
