Tonight i painted my chrome nerf bars with some rustoleum in black (i dont like chrome colored things..)

And i just noticed how many small DENTS there are on the bottom of them... And these are decently thick steel, tubes so they are fairly strong.

Cant imagine what the side of the truck body would look like if all the road debri that dented the nerf bar actually hit the truck...


I was considering taking them off.. but i think they will stay!

 

Yup. I let my friend drive my truck (he drives a mustang) while my girlfriend and I were talking in the back and he turned to sharp and bounced off a boulder. I was for sure the door was trashed. Sure enough it bounced off the bar and that was it. Dented it just a bit but nothing bad. I was very impressed.
