needing auxiliary backup lights...

Hey y'all, need some ideas. I'm wanting to install some auxiliary backup lights. I find the factory setup really inadequate when having to backup to a trailer, park in the dark, etc., especially with my windows tinted pretty dark. I have a Ranchhand full-replacement rear bumper sprayed with bedliner and I'm trying to figure out what the best place and how to install them. Any ideas would be really welcome. Also, any hints for which lights I should buy would also be welcome. Thanks.

This is the set up I used. Plenty of light and easily replaced if you rip one off accidentally.

Yep, $20 bucks, mounted on the side of the hitch in some blank hole, with some L brackets.
Purty easy. Looks like headlights on the rear when there on. I think there halogen too. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...sort/1/cat/500

50 watt halogen bulbs from JC Whitney that replace the dim ones Dodge gives you work great for me. Just remove the lens and trade bulbs. More info> http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...atalogId-10101

That looks like a great idea, but it says my backup lamp is 3157 and that don't seem to fit in any of those three!

I'll have to give 'em a call!

I got some halogen fog lights from Walmart. The brand was "Burners". They were $14.95. They're 55W and are very small. I mounted them under the bumper and used the trailer B+ lead for power through a relay triggered by the backup light circuit. Works great and the price was right.

Mine are 4in round took 5in exg pipe cut to 4in long welded one end closed and mounted to side of hitch frame with light in side pipe no more broken lights form stones. Wired to relay and switch on dash works good to shoot budy down behind you with high beams on.

I used 3057, don't know if the typo is Dodge's or Whitney's.
I'll bet if you call you'll get someone in India that barely speaks English let alone knows the products.

Thanks for all the input y'all. Wal-Mart sounds more along my budget, so now I just gotta figure out where on my bumper and how to attach.
