Mystery switch question...

Looking to wire up a Mystery Switch. Where can I find the wire color and location for the TC lock up wire?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Here you go. Just follow the right set of instructions for your year model, and you should have no problems. Its easy as heck to do; and sure is fun to use.lol Here is the link:

Thanks Eric, that's what I was looking for.

Anyone seen the schematic for wiring up the switch using 3 relays? This one uses a safety by using the brake switch as a shut off.

Does it make a big difference in your 0-60 times or does it just feel like it?

According to the wiring schematic for the PCM there are 2 orange/black wires. How would you go about testing them to find the T/C lock up wire?

The center plug on the PCM has the wire you are looking for. Orange wire/black stripe.

The lockup switch made almost a 1 second difference in my 1/8th mile times! Thats quite a bit.

I have the mystery switch on my truck and just started using it. Besides turning it off before stopping any pre-cautions? Wondering if shifting while locked is a good idea?

So whats the mystery switch all about? I read the installs, but dont really know how or when to use it. Is it something that you can just use when you want to?

the switch lets u lock up the TC in 3rd and 4th ...ans stays locked unless u hit the switch again...with valve body mods i think u can lock in 2nd 3rd and 4th....in my opinion unless u have high line pressures i would avoid the switch unless u can be cautious with it (not many can)

u know that feeling when ur just soft footing it through town and u hit 3rd gear but ur speed is still pretty low and then u get the lock up and it drops u to 1200rpms and the poor lil truck shakes a bit?! well thats not a good thing that switch will cause that pretty often...just my 2 cents

McMopar please disregard the PM I sent you.

I installed the switch today and went to the track tonight.

WOOHOO!!! what a difference this makes...6/10's shaved of my 1/4 ET and 3 MPH. If someone had told me this little switch could do this I would not have believed them.

I've got it wired using 3 relays being able to use the brake (as well as the switch) to disengage the T/C when coming to a stop.

If its like my truck the answer would be yes. It makes a world of difference with mine. You would at least be able to run right with them then.

NOSPIN4ME: What did you turn through the 1/4 mile. I went to the 1/4 last night and turned a 16.23@81mph as my best time. Im pretty happy with how the truck is running.
