More crazy ideas

I guess you guys are probably sick of my ideas on power mods for the truck, but here is another. So I thought the easiest thing to do would be this. Edge 75 hp nozzles, tweak my wastegate to get some more air. Plain and simple, no huge numbers but thinking it should get me around 300hp. Then later if I wanted to add an edge comp I could. I figure the 75hp nozzles and the wastegate tweak should not be so much that I'll need one of those $$$$$$ clutches and it'll give me a bit more hp/tq and the big plus.......I could probably afford the edge nozzles, around $250 or so.

If you add bigger injectors and modify the wastegate you will need to add some source of boost fooler on the map sensor. I would suggest a comp you can adjust its power or just turn it off. A used comp can often be found for around $350, not really all that much more than what you will have in the nozzles by the time you get them in. Just my $.02. I have a comp and 75hp injectors on the stock clutch, i haven't slipped it yet and have definitely tried.

I would go with fueling box first... From what I've read on here, any boost over stock levels without a box that does boost fooling will cause a CEL.

Thats my plan, you can find boost fooler with adjustable elbow for $60 and shop around for those tips I have seen then for about $180. Not bad for a 300horsepower thats should be very towable.

Its not that bad. I added 200 hp in fuel and no box and never got a CEL. I throw a few p0234 overboost codes though, sometimes over and over again

If you bought a ez or va it'd come with the boost elbow, do the boost fooling, give you some more power, and improve mileage. Injectors and clutch can come later =P

Now if you really want to discuss some crazy ideas I'm game. I actually tried this one https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/ Funny thing is I think thats the same filter that goes on the yard dog at work. My only problem was I couldn't get the bend of my tubing to clear the alternator =(

Then there was my idea of plumbing in a hard drive water block to the vp44 for additional cooling- I can't seem to find that old thread

And then there's the fenderwell air dam idea,..... should I go on? I have more
