Mirrors

Hello I have a 99 dodge 2500.

I am just wondering how to tighten up my mirrors. Notice this past weekend pulling my camper they are pretty loose. If someone could show me step by step instructions on how to do it that would be great thanks

take the screws out of the door panel by the lever. pop the inner door skin away from the door body (little plastic tree shape rivets) best to use the tool for this. its a screw driver with a fork on the end. lift the plastic door skin up off the window track and it will expose the 3 bolts/bracket on the back side of mirror.

You don't have to take the whole panel of , just remove the screw and pull back enough to get your hands in there and use something for a wedge to keep the panel pried open , I have changed 2 sets of mirrors out this way and you will find no one with hands as big as mine . Tighten the nuts on the mirror and that should do it . The problem with taking the whole panel off is the Christmas trees are really a one time use thing and wont hold as good if you reuse the same ones and may cause creeking noises from the panel driving down the road and removing the panel you risk the chance of breaking off the plastic x mas tree holders on the back side of panel.

Just the glass part of my driver side mirror is loose. Any idea on how to tighten that or does it need to be replaced?
