Mark Kendrick Compounds
Re:Mark Kendrick Compounds
Gene, you should feel a HY30-9cm on the bottom end ;D The top end is a little choked. I swapped out Craigs HY30 for an HX35 to help in the 4000+ rpm range he likes to rev to.

'laggy' is a relative term. They all have lag the question is how much is acceptable.

A properly wastegated small exhaust housing IS better. I run an HX35 on top just like you but using the gate I can adjust the effective size of the exhaust housing to yield max boost of around 40psi to over 80psi(way over
)

This gives me the same top end flow characteristics as your setup .. sort of, my engine is not limited to the flow of a single exhaust housing.... with spoolup better than most stock turbo trucks.

Craig's exhaust side was not restrictive but the intake side was. the compressor on the HX30 was just not big enough for top end power. For towing and daily driving it was unmatched. His ~650hp daily driver can be driven with NO SMOKE and still light the tires on shifts... I drove it.. AMAZING!!!

I have to admit that a most of the credit for Craig's truck must go to him and ATS for building an engine that lets my turbos shine. Then to ATS and SouthBend for putting it to the ground.

Craig, how are those new stacks?????
;D

we need pics!!!!!!!!!

When it stops snowing I'll get some pictures and post them. They have been the topic of conversation for days now here in the Denver area. To correct you however it was a hy-30 9 sq I was running before, for daily driving and towing it can not be beat.
Re:Mark Kendrick Compounds
Sort of is right! Big cam, she flows real well at 4000rpm+ ;D

Uh-oh, 650hp from the west again?
Does he plan to race anywhere this year?

Some 500hp trucks pretty much crushed a west coast 650 hp truck at Muncie last year, I think the dynos are off out there. :P :'(
Re:Mark Kendrick Compounds
Sled Puller you can talk to me directly if you want to. Maybe we should do a heads up at May Madness. Sled Puller you run a 5sp right. What is your fastest time? Maybe this could be fun.
[/quote]

Your going to race? Is this April 1st?
Rememebr you got to make it through the Pulling without any problems to race.

I think your right, those 370's should do just fine, as paper weights.
