Unhappy map sensor?

i have heard of some of yall pulling off the map sensor to get a little more off the line, and smoke some. i was bored and tried it. i dont know if i did something wrong, but lost about half my power when i did it. i have a power puck hooked into it. dont know what i did wrong. dont want to leave it like that all the time, just wanted to see how much i could fog my little street. how do some of yall do it and not effect any power loss? thanks jimmy

I believe it only works with the Comp, due to the way it works.

It works with an EZ also! With the DD3s it smoke like a freight train when you want. No loss of power, seems more responsive down low.

Your box needs to have a Boost fooler program in it. Like EZ or Comp, I'm not sure of what other box's do it too.
I unplugged mine about 4 months ago and can't get myself to plug it back in, love the off the line power and smoke.
You unplugg the Map connection @ the block, that simple.

Today while driving around town my truck started running really really bad, the engine rhythm was fine but I had no power, acted something like dead pedal, so fearing the worst I got ready to pull the codes and see if the VP was the problem, then I started thinking about the Map sensor being unplugged, so I plugged it back in and it has acted fine since. I just dont understand why it ran fine for 2 or 3 days with the Map undone. Any guesses?

Other people with the juice said it doesnt work either. I think the compand ez are the only boxes that can fool it.
