MAD ECM is a factory ECM (engine control module) that has had the factory software erased and replaced with a high-performance program. It is not a plug in module, it replaces the existing ECM. It is famous for incredible pedal response, and practically eliminates all turbo lag. It also eliminates the factory boost limit, torque limiters, and such like that.

You can get one from Bob Wagner at www.wagnerandassociates.biz It's also known as the Catcher (which is short for Clutch and Traction Challenger). Believe me, it will challenge both your clutch and your tires (if you have a stick).

The Van Aaken box is a box similar to the Edge EZ, made by a company called Van Aaken Developments. It advances timing to give you more tq and a bit more mpg. It also brings the factory fuel curve in slightly earlier to enhance bottom end torque. I'm presently running one, and it's a nice unit, but MUCH milder than the ECM is. The ECM is quite a bit more aggressive.

Thanks again Hohn. My truck was originaly sold in Calif so it has the Calif computer and I cant use my lock-up switch without getting a engine check code.

Will the Mad ECM replace my hole Calif computer crap so I can use the lock up switch without getting coded?
