He started out with a PDR HX40 and switched to sledpuller 66 I believe and that increased the HP too.
I agree larger injectors and catcher work gfreat, I dont stack boxes either
truck is 02/HO/Fed

From everything I can read about the TST (and I just talked to Mark Chapple for almost an hour), I can't understand WHY it wouldn't work well with the MAD ECM??
Rowland, I'm afraid I misconstrued your post. You were quite clear that the TST/MAD combo was fine on the street driving normally. It was at the *strip* where you had problems, correct??
Dang, I can be OBTUSE!!

Rj and my truck seem to be the same, he runs the tst and I run the comp. The problem lies in the first 2-3 seconds at wot or even heavy throttle when building boost. I have never been to a drag strip yet.... but I have experinced the problem numerous times. Even as I run now with no wire tapp and the comp on 1x1 the truck gobbs smoke down low with a heavy foot, I can only slowly get into the throttle with out fogging the road behind me. I have been trying everything driving wise to help but I may talk to Bob Wagner and see what my options are. I still believe the product is a great product as Rj does but not with my setup at least not right now.

I believe the MAD ECM will work in any combination...IF you roll into the throttle smoothly....but with big injectors...works best with box turned way down.
The only other time I expirienced too much fuel was gross wt., Interstate, cruising at 75 mph. This is a low boost scenario. When I wanted to pull out quickly to enter a small hole in the passing lane...and I floored it! Got lots of smoke & no power! But this was a one time thing, and not the right way to be driving a CTD anyhow. But it got hairy for a bit...with a big rig barreling down on me. Had 500 horses...and they all went to sleep on me at just the wrong time.

I got the Catcher in last night. I have one problem now I can't stop
. First impressions being what they are, this thing beats the crap out of the EZ I was runnings. I will probably repeat a lot of what others have already said.
First off, the truck will smoke no question. I wasn't really expecting this as I'm only running 275's. At off idle it will poor it out, even in neutral. I was never able to smoke like that with the EZ. This was not a goal of mine to have, but a nice feature to play with. I really prefer no smoke for 90% of the time, but every once in a while it comes in handy.
Throttle responce is delivered with very small amounts of pedal position. The engine revs very quickly. The around town drive ablility is improved greatly, highway on ramps are now one of lifes many enjoyments.
Things I've noticed, if your in the pedal hard and you slowly let off, the truck will accelerate harder for a moment. Kind of hard to explain.
I did try to run the ECM with the EZ, but the engine sounded different. Maybe too much timing?
