Hello, see the truck in my sig when towing or leaving astop light i can hit 1250* real easily i have my smarty on 4 and juice on 1x3. do you have any ideas how to keep it cool and also how to reduce some of the black smoke when i shift gears ?? thanks, jr

 

Try running your Smarty on SW2 & Juice on 3x1....more timing & less fuel should clear it up. When pulling out from a stop...ease into the pedal gradually to prevent smoke. Those are big injectors....kinda hard to keep them clean. Adding more timing & less fuel should help some.

well i tried running the truck on the setting posted earlier it didnt seem to make a differance with the smoke issue it seems if i just baby it and slower bring it back up it doesnt smoke as bad or just keep my foot in it when it shifts to help with the smoke. the one thing i have noticed is it seems to lope at idle now possible from the injectors and turbo combo my exhaust tone is differant and i seem to be smoking out my front breather know more then ever ?? somedays i feel like i am just beating myself up with no real answer in sight , jr

 

try polishing and porting the heck out of the ats manifold. I match ported mine to the turbo flange and cleaned up the wastegate passage and solved my egt problems. With the smarty on 9 even towing around 8k horse trailer i can barely hit 1300.
