Looking for info on dynatrac or other with stub-hubs

Has anyone here installed a dynatrac, EMS or spyn-tec kit and managed to find shorter hubs that go with it? Id crack one of the longer hubs in no time, they really stick out.
Dynatrac has stub-hubs they sell separate in a kit, but its like 500$. Id be looking to do the whole deal at once if possible.
I was looking at swapping out ford knuckles like this: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=874442
but apparently the wheels would stick out 3/4" more on the sides and Im already at my limits with the wrong rims on this truck =(
I can lock the brakes easy as it is.. guess I dont need the ford setup for the brakes.

They really don't stick out that far. With my stock 6.5" steel wheels and 235 rubber on, its just the warn lock out that sticks past the tire. With H2's and 285's, the lock out is flush with the tire.

swap in a king pin ford axle and a set of leafs and elimate all the short falls of a dodge body.(well most of them) look for a 78-79 f350 it will go in with a bit of work and be around the same price

I installed an EMS kit a few weeks ago, truck will not be on the road for a month or so but the kit looks very well built. This is the first mod I did to my truck. I really need 2wd low to back up my 14,000lbs goosneck trailer.
