I put one in years ago, when my tranny was stock, sold the truck with it in I bought the truck back from the bank after it was repoed from the guy who bought it, and the trany was about smoked. fast farward to this spring, I put a goerend bros triple disc in, and its a whole other truck!! the switch has its place and I love it, like it even better when I get my exhuast brake and 60lb exhaust springs in though, look up tst products for thier scamatics on the loc-up switch, or get a free catolog from them and it will have it in there!, I am sorry I cant help you with the brake pedal switch to shut it off, but I can tell you I hooked up a light under the dash that hooked up with a positive ground, so when its locked up, the light is lit, even when it locks up on its own, it will light up, but If Ilock it manually with the switch, the light will not go out until I unlock with switch and let off the foot pedal. I love it!

Some one here, or over on TDR had a setup with double relays for a switch setup like you want. I would suggest a search on both sites to find the info. He posted a schematic for it I think. Mine is not automatic, just has an LED to let you know when you are locked up.

lock-up

the tranny is a 47re and uses 12 volts to power the lock-up selinoid, the 47rh is hydraulically controled but requires the use of a ground in the circuit

i'd say just put the switch in and do it man. seems like to much work to make the break shut it off, i mean only time mine is really on is when im havin fun, its not like its all that hard to remember to turn off. mine is in a sweet spot too, in the handle of the ash tray, just a simple 3 way switch mine dont have the light to signa lockup, the whole thing cost me like 5 bucks. all you need is wire a switch and like some wire taps, its a really good cheep upgrade IMO
