I want to put a leveling kit on my truck.Has anyone had any experience with any of the kits sold on ebay? Or is abetter alternative to spend the extra $$ for coils like D25s? Will I need an adjustable track bar? I am not sure about shipping up here to Canada on a heavy item like a Thuren track bar any other Canadian members with experience on this would be great
Well this site wont let me upload the pictures because I just uploaded on another thread. The pictures are on.......Pics of 285 tires on DTC.......
With quality spacers, I haven't heard of anyone having problems with them. If you go crazy off-road, you might spit the spacer out and have real problems. Just don't let the front wheels leave the ground with a spacer.
The "right" way imo is to replace the springs, but I understand not everyone want to mess with that. I used D25s, which are simply adequate-- you can do much better and I think these springs are on the cheap end.
The real improvement imo came from the Bilstein shocks. They are excellent, and much better than stock. I have the "proper" ones which are 2" longer up front for the lift, and they also have HD valving in them. They have a brushed zinc finish. If you have yellow and blue Bilsteins with a levelling kit, you have the wrong ones.
In spite of the lame springs, I'm VERY pleased overall with how my levelling came together-- no need for longer trailing arms at all.

2" or 2.5" taller springs and the Zinc Bilstein Shocks HOHN mentioned above (#BE 56681 H5)
are a great way to go. A bit more money (Springs run about $200.00) but much nicer ride and quality set up!
I did the HBS Spacers ...which are top quality!

When it's moving, the suspension is moving, and that "recentering" you did becomes "misadjustment".
