leather seats?

I have a cloth covered quad cab with the flip up center console. I want leather seats. What would be the easiest and cheapiest way to get them? Stylin trucks.com has leather seat covers for $300 but I think that's just for the front seat. Has anyone used leather seat covers, are they worth it? Would a junk yard give a decent price for all leather seats? How much would it cost to get it re-upholster? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

I had our Jeep GC recovered when we purchased it for $500, front/back including heat. Almost every dealer has a aftermarket specialist who should be able to get you a price.

Katzkin leather kit. You can get them (NOS) on eBay for $100-$500. I put a set in my '96 that I got for about $125 (they were red) that aside from the color were great. Putting them on is not for the feint of heart and took a whole weekend as you have to remove the seats and take them apart. I was also able to sell the old cloth covers for about $70 too. I got a set for my '05 that I have not installed yet but they look great in the box!

I kept my eye on ebay for awhile trying to fine leather seats for mine. Was goin to have them done it would have been like 800.00 All I was finding was quad cabs. Finally one day I found a set of black leather power seats. The buy it now was really low like 250. shipping was 160. the seats don't have one crack or tear.

Go to the junk yard and buy a set of leather seats out of a GMC/Chevrolet or a Ford. You will kill two birds with one stone. You will get the leather and have seats that feel good when you sit on them. That is what I did with mine.

when switching from dodge to chevy or ford seats, is there any modifying that needs to be done or will they bolt right up? If so can you explain in detail.

as long as they have seat belts in them they will work. Modifications are required, when I did mine I put the seats in the truck and positioned them where I wanted them. On my truck I could use all but three factory bolt holes. The other three I drilled holes and used new bolts. I also had to run a wire for the power seat option. I also had to make two brackets for the outer front corners. The complete install took about 4 hours,

badme, I take it that you used chevy seats? I have been looking on eBay and chevy seems to be the only other one with seat belts built in. Do they need to come from a truck or will suv seats work? What did you take yours out of?

It would be nice if we swapped in some leather seats from a Yukon or something.
