Brian - sounds like all we need to do is install the SS indexing pins on your bars up in Ardmore?

... Rowland's tabs are locking as well as mine now with the preload!

Mine seem to be holding well... I need to go check and see just got done pulling 15k about 250miles... Tested the load/ unload clunk with the increased load and it is still Completely gone! I love it!! Sway is also considerable reduced when cornering...

That's good to hear (or not to hear, I guess!) I have so much stuff in my bed that sometimes it sounds like the truck is falling apart anyway... but that's what the radio is for!

..... or the Loud Pedal

Great, if you guys keep talking about getting rid of the load/unload "clunk", I'll have to get a set of these bars installed as well.

Shoot, I don't even haul heavy or have high HP, but I may get some because they "look cool".

Actually, I'd like to try them with my cab-over camper to see how they control the "roll" as compared to air bags.

"clunk, cl-clunk... clunkity-clunk...... ca-CHUNK clunk"

Nosiree - no high pressure tactics around here!

Well - how else are you gonna keep up with the Jones'es?

Seriously, though Charlie - the traction bars allow the airbags to be pressurized for the static load, resulting in a smoother ride; with independent pnuematic supply circuits, the airbags can be pressurized high enough to give a very level ride through the twisties, but at the expense of somewhat, ahh - harsh behavior over bumps/swells/dips (guaranteed to jumble the contents of your JoBoxes! )

No prototype needed - the brackets are designed to mount just about anywhere on the frame rails!

How about bar length? You think that might be affected. Not quite sure on the geometry of the whole deal.

With something like 12" of adjustment I would think you could find a place on the frame

That's right - center to center lengths of 4' to 8' are available.

But if you get down around 4' wouldn't that require a shackle, and thereby remove to benefit of constant tension and eliminate better cornering and no more "clunkity-clunk" that you guys are refering to??

Shackle-mounting the front heims would be pointless - don't forget these traction bars don't clamp onto the axle tubes, the rear heims bolt onto fixed mounting points several inches under the center of the axles.

IMO, the bar length would have to be quite short, the leaf pack soft, and the rear load light to have a detrimental effect on ride handling and quality... of course, the bars' positive-location action of the axle tubes would be unchanged.
