Ladder Bars Help Ride?
Ladder Bars Help Ride?
Well, earlier this week I built and installed a set of ladders on the truck. Granted I knew that I ran the risk of it riding like a lumber wagon, but I was surprised to see that it actually helped quite a bit. With the dual disc in there was a surprising amount of drive line lash that would rear its ugly head at the first less than perfect shift. Now with things tightened up, it drives, shifts and rides so much smoother. Has anybody else noticed this phenomenon?
As for the ladders, I built my own out of 2" thick wall tubing, [2] 3-point top links cut in half & some 3/8" flat. The whole thing is held in with hitch pins and R-clips and slides right out.
Daddy likey.

Alright, I was changing the fuel filter in prep for the dyno run anway. And yes, I know the pinion seal is leaking... I just hate the thought of tearing into it for just the seal.
