K&N FIPK vs Scotty II
K&N FIPK vs Scotty II
I'm not trying to start a war here, but I am looking for some info from some guys that may be using the K&N FIPK ( not just the filter) or the Scotty II and why they chose one over the other. Hope I can get some responses from both sides of the fence.
Re:K&N FIPK vs Scotty II
Don't have either, but I am fixin to get the scotty. When I was a noobi I was going to get the FIPK also. But after being on here I have changed my mind. I have herd that the filter alone in the air box dosen't clean good enough, I don't know but that's what I hear, my buddy has a dodge identical to mine and I only have a 10k more miles on mine, he has the K&N filter and I know the inside of his turbo has scuffs in it, noticed it the other day when we took his silencer ring out, so we look at mine just to compare mine is still as smooth as a babies butt. I have a BHAF right now. His also had a little oil on the turbo, which is a sign of being over oiled witch can contribute to the lack of clean air entering the turbo. You well find many on here go with the scotty. I don't think that there is a whole lot of price difference in the two. I guess I would have to say go with the scotty. I haven't seen test results with the K&N but I can't hardly believe that it would beet the scotty, but what do I know. <br>Heath
Re:K&N FIPK vs Scotty II
When I said I wasn't looking to start a war, I was hoping for more than one response. Does anyone else have anything to add? Again, I am NOT talking about just the K&N filter that goes in the stock box. I'm talking about the FIPK that has the BHAF and heat sheild.
