Talking Just bought some Optima Yellow Tops !

Been running my factory batteries for 9.5 years now, the green indicator lights have been gone since last summer . I found a pair of Yellow Tops at JC Whitney for 178.00 each with free shippng. My rear lights and stereo amps suck alot of juice when camping with the motor off. I think these will make a great improvement. I do have 10 farad caps for the stereo but I had to get a jump last time camping for being "campgroung entertainment" for about 5 hours with 2000 watts . Anybody running these?

Tom

I have a set of yellow tops in my service truck and love them. I cant say as much for the red tops in my Dodge. I am not real impressed with the red tops. Congrats though I think you will like them.

I love the yellow tops I put them in a fiew summers ago liked them but thought they were a little over priced untll that winter when I noticed after sitting for two days in sub zero newengland winter I went out cycled the grid heater twice turned the key and no hesitation the truck started every winter before the starter would struggle when it was that cold out. Big difference from the die hards that were in it with th cold cranking amps I absolutly love them

I think it will be nice to run the stereo system and some accessories without worrying as much about a jump. I checked around in Spokane and they go for 199.00 + so I think with the free shipping it was an ok deal. The poor UPS guy is due here Monday and might have to chain up to get up to the house if some of this snow doesn't melt !
