Jumping EGT Gauge

Anyone else notice their EGT gauge jump up really fast to about 600 or so, then come back down to normal? This happens when the truck is cold and I first start it up. The needle starts moving up normally to about 250 then all of the sudden the needle jumps to about 600 really quickly and then jumps back down to 250. It only jumps once or twice, and only when the truck is cold. This is an Isspro gauge, which is only a couple of months old, checked all the connections they seem tight. Its not really a big deal, because the gauge works normally otherwise, I'm just wondering if anybody else has seen this.

Do you have a solid ground for the sending unit? My Isspro water temp would climb every time I keyed my CB due to being on the same ground.

My brother's Banks pyro does that all the time. But I heard Banks gauges are not the best.
