Intercooler Boots/Couplers

Hello,

We are a new Site Sponsor and are in the process of designing the intercooler boots for these vehicles. I was wondering if we could ask you guys some questions about them.

1. Do they go on the other model trucks as well?
2. What PSI is the stock pressure, and max modified pressure?
3. I read that they get worn quickly from rubbing on some part of the truck, any recommendations to keep this from happening?
4. What are people paying now? Want to make sure we can beat current pricing.
5. What colors would people like to see?

Thanks for the help, in advance.

Regards,
Sig

Welcome aboard.
1. I might be wrong but I believe that Ford and Chevy also runs intercooler boots.
2.When stock we saw 19 Psi max. Moddifies preasures could range greatly probably up to 60 Psi+ on twin turbo systems. I'm seeing 45 psi with my mods.
3.Don't have anything for you on this one.
4.Piers diesel is selling a complete kit for $210.00
5.I would like to see red.

Hope this helps.

Yeah,
Stock pressure from 20psi-35psi.
Modified boost pressure up to 100psi (street trucks).

Color: Black, pressure as allready indicated, the boots get cut from rubbing against the fender well liner. There is a sharp edge of metal that is close the the lower intercooler elbows. When the pressure gets up there, the boots swell from the pressure and rub against that metal edge. Probably better for the owner to modify the truck, or make the boot so it does not puff or swell up with pressure or at least some type of a rubber piece that fits on the metal edge so it can't rub the boot?.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the problem boots are a boot that hs a 90 degree bend, one on each side of the intercooler (two total), and I think they go from 4 inch on one end and 4.5 inch on the other (4 at the metal pipe and 4.5 at the intercooler?)? Thanks, Kevin-Sorry, too cold and too dark to go out and measure right now.

correct me if i'm wrong but silicone boots do not expand like rubber ones. so it won't rub the fender.as far as asking about stock boost pressure, you are not going to sale very many sets of boots if they can't hold 100psi+ like the competitors boots. don't really care about color as long as they blow off. welcome to the site hopefully you'll offer a product that you will stand behind and will stand up to the abuse we put them through.

My understanding is the boots are 45 degre bends. Are we mistaken?

Gary,

I am sorry to say we are still in R&D and will not ready for the public for another 8-12 weeks.

Our standard colors are Red,Blue and Black all glossy. We alsow offer matte finish. We can do other colors but would have to be part of a large group buy.

Stylin,
Best thing for you to do is get some people on here to send you their stock boots and then make some copies for free for being guinea pigs.
